BA in Fine Arts, and a second degree in Ceramics in 2012. Making ceramics allows me to channel my creative energy into an object. Concentrating on silhouette, line and surface allows me to express my drive for order, beauty and form. The clay forms I make are minimal yet sophisticated, elegant, spare, almost austere. All of my work is thrown on a pottery wheel with porcelain clay and I make all my glazes and colored porcelains in my studio. I fire in an electric kiln to about 2300 degrees

Q&A with the ArtistTell us how your work is made.I make my work on a pottery wheel with porcelain clay. (I recycle my trimmings with stains to make my colored porcelains) I refine the forms at every step of the process, striving to capture my ideal. I make all my glazes from dry materials in my studio and fire to 2300 with a slow cool. |
